Having been a relatively late starter to golf at age fourteen, Rob quickly discovered his love and natural ability for the game and turned professional in 1993, aged nineteen. Since gaining his PGA Professional status Rob has developed a wealth of experience, including establishing an extremely successful Teaching Academy at Hoebridge Golf Centre and then working as Senior Professional at The Richmond Club.

Chris Olney - Assistant
Chris has been a member of Tyrrells Wood since 2007 and has been part of the Pro Shop team for the past three years. After leaving school in 2009, Chris decided to pursue a career in golf at the Sussex College of Golf based in West Sussex (Lindfield Golf Club). During his time there he would spend nine weeks out in Spain as part of a winter programme at Club De Golf Bonmont in Costa Daurada.
Chris qualified from the College in 2011. With a current playing handicap of 3, Chris is looking to join the PGA where trainees complete a three year Foundation Degree in Professional Golf Studies, accredited by the University of Birmingham.
