Now, is it just me or does it feel like January is lasting an awful long time?... Or maybe it's because I've been on a dry January? Unfortunately the forecast this weekend doesn't look very good and with the frost finally coming out of the ground it could make conditions tricky. Please make sure you keep up to date with the course status via the information line & the Tyrrells website. Roll on the Spring if you ask me! Jo and I have been invited to attend a coaching conference at Old Thorns in Hampshire this week, which I'm very much looking forward to, the conference is being headlined by former Olympian Steve Backley OBE. It should be very interesting.

Love.Golf comes to Tyrrells Wood! 

This February an exciting new coaching programme is coming to Tyrrells Wood.

Love.Golf is a fun social golf experience designed specifically for women. We learn by playing the game, as a group, not just by hitting balls on a range. 

Women who have tried Love.Golf say they enjoy the unexpected sense of fun, achievement, togetherness and increased self-confidence.

Traditionally, golf coaching has focused on learning skills on a practice range. Love.Golf takes an alternative approach and is based on proven academic studies and market research that shows many women prefer to learn through the actual playing of the game within an enjoyable environment.

Love.Golf is perfect for ladies with little or no golfing experience and is a great introduction to playing golf.

To kick things off we are holding a taster session on Sunday 12th February @ 1pm. The taster session is FOC and is a great opportunity to come and give Love.Golf a go!

Following the taster session, the first 6 week Love.Golf group will begin on Sunday 5th March @ 3pm.

MOT Your Game this February 

As we near the end of January (finally!), the start of spring, the Masters and the golfing season are just a few weeks away.

Get your game ready for the year ahead with a game MOT.

This time of year is the best time to work on your game, none of us are playing as much golf as we would like, but we can still use this time to get your game in shape for the year ahead. During February I am offering 30 minute Game MOTs for just £15. If you want to get better but aren't sure how, this is the perfect starting point.

During your MOT we will assess your whole game, including the equipment you're currently using and plan how we can get the most out of your golf game this season, giving you a goal and a focus for the season.
