Greetings golfers,
It's been a strange week in the world of tournament golf. GolfSixes was rolled out by the European Tour and, after watching some of it, I'm still not sure if it's a format that's going to catch on; however, I did really like the idea of a shot clock. Across the pond, 5 foot7 inch Brian Harman put an end to the mighty Dustin Johnson's three event winning streak with a birdie-birdie finish to win by a shot, but clearly the big story last week was John Daly winning on the Champions Tour. His last win was way back in 2004 and, as you'd expect, he hasn't forgotten how to celebrate.
A Free Fitting & Lesson Can't Be Bad
It's so important for golfers of all abilities - particularly amateurs, who have far more to gain - to get custom fitted, as opposed to leaving it to chance, like you'd be doing if you bought standard spec clubs straight off the shelf. You really have nothing to lose and we will help you to get the most out of any new equipment through a thorough custom fitting process, which we will take you through before you buy and which will be followed by a lesson to see you on your way. We have partnered with the golf industries two biggest brands, Callaway and PING, for this promotion in order to offer you the best equipment available today.
Come and speak to us in-store if you're interested, or watch the video below, but remember this offer is only available until the end of June.

The Captain's Charity Day Is Almost Here
A big thank you to all our members who've entered the Captain's Charity Day on Sunday. We're all set for a great day on the course and it looks as though the weather's going to be good as well. I'll see you all on the 16th tee for a Beat The Pro Challenge, please bring a £5 note with you as we'd like to raise as much money as possible for the charity.
Cameron Cup Update
Last weekend saw the Captain & I take up our latest challenge against the in-form pair of Chris Marchant & Scott Wilson. After my trials and tribulations of the previous match I was a little apprehensive about how I'd play. After a very close front nine we found ourselves 1 up in the match, we managed to edge another hole clear by the 13th and then lost the next two holes to nett birdies from Chris on the 13th, who hit a majestic chip from over the green, and then Scott, who hit a fantastic approach into the 14th green. This meant we were all square standing on the 15th tee. Fortunately (for us) the Captain won the 15th and I made a birdie on the 16th and we were dormy two up. We halved the 17th (if only I could've done that last time out!) and won the match 2&1. As you can gather, it was a very close match, with all of us playing some good golf - it could've gone either way. I was more than a little relieved to finally get a win under our belts. Thank you Chris and Scott for your company and the generous donation to the Captain's charity, the Prostate Project.
