Greetings golfers,

I hope you've all managed to get out on the golf course over the past week, the weather has been lovely and the course is looking fantastic. I'm sure that you've all seen from Paul's course status emails each morning that work on the new short game area is well and truly underway and, with 200 tonnes of top soil now going down, it's really starting to take shape as you can see the difference a week makes from these pictures.

Cameron Cup 

After some success in our last game a few weeks ago, the Captain & I were up against an extremely tough test this week with two challenges. The first was last Sunday and we were facing 18 time Club Champion Paul Earl & single figure golfer Neil Manwaring. After a very closely fought front nine we found ourselves 2 up at the turn. Some excellent golf was played by all of us on the back 9 with the highlights being Paul's excellent birdie, birdie run on the 13th & 14th (I won't mention my left handed air shots on the 14th!) I did redeem myself with a good putt on the 15th for a halve and the Captain closed the match out with a superb 2 Nett 1 on the 16th for a 3&2 win.  

Our second match was potentially a tough match against Roger Keep and Peter Robertson and we didn't get off the best of starts losing the first hole. However, following that the Captain & I played some our best golf of the year, we were 7 under par by the 13th hole and had won the match 6&5. We had 'one of those days' even the weather was perfect.   

Thank you to both pairs for their company on the course and their very generous donations to the Captains charity, the Prostate Project.

Women's Golf Day & New Love.Golf Coaching Starting in June!  

Know someone who might want to give golf a go?  

Love.golf is a fun social golf experience designed specifically for women. You will learn by playing the game, as a group, not just by hitting balls on a range. Women who have tried love.golf say they enjoy the unexpected sense of fun, achievement, togetherness and increased self-confidence.


New Love.Golf coaching groups:

• Tuesday 30th June - Tuesday 4th July 7pm - 8.30pm  
• Sunday 11th June - Sunday 16th July 3pm - 4.30pm 
  

Maximum 10 per group, just £95 for the 6 weeks.
