Make 2018 the year you play your best golf
We all have different reasons for playing golf, for some it’s the competitive nature of the game they enjoy, for others it’s the social element. Most people, even if they’re not super competitive, enjoy the challenge of improving their own game. One thing we all have in common is that we enjoy the game much more when we play well.
Why not set a golfing resolution for 2018?
It’s at this time of year that we start thinking about resolutions for the year ahead. A lot of the time we make resolutions to join a gym, lose weight etc. How many of these resolutions actually go the distance? Most fail because we like the idea of losing weight, but we fail to put a plan in place to ensure we actually make a lifestyle change. Use this time of year to make a positive change to your golf game and ensure you enjoy your golf throughout 2018.
What would help you get more satisfaction out of your golf? Write down a few points here, it might be you currently lack confidence in your game, you lack distance off the tee or your short game is losing you shots. Writing down these points gives you the basis of a plan to start improving and is the starting point for getting more enjoyment out of your game. Once you have identified a couple of areas that you would like to improve, work out what you need to do. It might be at this point that you need help from a coach who can facilitate how you make a change and ensure the goals you set for yourself are achievable and realistic.
