That's where we come in!
It’s been another busy week at Tyrrells and I’m delighted to see lots of interest in our new Swing Studio and GCQuad launch monitor. The information that’s now available to you really will make a difference to how you view your golf swing. There are so many misconceptions about golf floating around these days, it’s much better to understand the truth - that’s where we come in! |
Chris is a happy man!
I think I enjoyed watching the final round of the Masters. I’m not the biggest Patrick Reed fan. In fact, I’m nowhere near a fan of his at all! I just wished someone could’ve applied a little more pressure on him, as he just seemed to get the right breaks at the right time. Sometimes you just need a bit of luck to win, fair play to him. Plus Chris backed him so at least he was very happy! Thank you to everyone who took part in our Pro Shop Sweepstake.

A positive start!
I made my first tournament outing last week, unfortunately not at Augusta but at Kingswood in the PGA South Region Regional Qualifying School. I’m pleased to say that although I didn’t quite have my ‘A game’, I shot level par for a credible 6th place. |
The 13th hole is nearing opening... Bank Holiday Monday is the day we plan to open the new 13th hole with a fun competition that will be open to all members with a BBQ on the terrace following the golf. The competition is a team event with four players per team. The best two stableford scores per hole will count towards your team total with prizes available for the top 3. It will be a shot gun start at 9am and the entry fee is £10 per person.
You can sign up in the usual way online from 7am on Sunday 15th April. Jo, Chris and I will all be playing, if you’d like to sign up with one of us then please put your name down on the start sheet. However, if you would like to be one of the very first members to play the new 13th hole and raise some much needed money for the Captain’s Charity we will auction starting on the 13th.
If you would like to make a bid, please email our Assistant Manager, Iain with your offer. All proceeds will be donated to the Captain’s Charity, ALDAG. Closing date for bids will is Monday 30th April.

Club Medal - Sunday 8th April
Congratulations to Michael Saunt who won the Club Medal on Sunday with a nett 67. Mike now qualifies to play with me at Walton Heath on Tuesday 17th July in the PGA South Region Qualifying Competition, the winners of which qualify to play in an all-expenses paid trip to play in the grand final in Portugal. I’m hoping he continues his good form!! Back to the competition, Stuart LaFrenais, Tony Fenton and Craig Murray all finished a shot behind.
