Just how far do you hit the ball? Distance is probably something we’d all like more of, if you believe the golfing media and certain manufacturers it’s never been easier to hit the ball further, hmmmmmm, that’s not my experience. Often when we’re aiming to improve distance the first thing to discuss is efficiency. I can be the quickest way to gain a few extra yards. Your golf swing creates ‘x’ amount of power, my question is - how well do you use that power? If you’re not sure of the answer you need to come and see me. Using our Swing Studio we accurately measure your strike, angle of attack and launch. As far as I’m concerned once we understanding these important factors it will give us the best chance of finding those all-important yards. Sometimes it isn’t as simple as just changing to the latest driver, but that message isn’t as exciting and certainly doesn’t help sell the latest model of clubs. In my experience it’s always a combination of gofer and equipment. Part of my role is to find out which one will make the biggest difference. To give you a good example, I’d really like to hit the ball further, especially with my driver. I’ve set myself a goal to improve and whilst I’m having lessons to improve my technique, it’s only part of the solution. If I really want to improve my distance I also need to work on my strength, flexibility and fitness in equal measures. Giving honest, expert advice like this is what really sets us apart from online & high street retailers. We are here to help you and in doing so hope to retain your custom for the foreseeable future. |
