Which one will make the biggest difference?
I had a couple of very interesting conversations about distance following on from my newsletter last week. Distance is definitely a hot topic at the moment, which will have a much bigger effect to your enjoyment and scoring than you might think. Put simply, if you want more distance: - Change your equipment
- Change your technique
- Change your strength and flexibility
It really is that simple, however the really important question is: Which one of these will make the biggest difference to your game? That’s where we come in. We’re the experts who have your best interests at heart. We can accurately measure which of these will make the biggest difference. For us, it’s not about selling you the latest driver because a sales person needs to hit a target. How much do they really care about your game? They’ll probably never see you again, there’s no accountability for them whatsoever. I’d even question the style of the fitting itself. How much information can a club fitter you’ve just met gather in a session? Are you using the same golf balls? Is the strike being measured? To name just a few. In my opinion, in most cases a fitting should be over a couple of sessions on different days as our golf swings change from day to day and, in my case on Monday, from hole to hole! Once we’ve taken you through our fitting process I’d like you to use the club on the course before you buy. After all this is where you’re going to see the benefits of a new club. Would you test drive a new car without taking it on the road? I doubt it; however, that’s how many golfers buy their clubs. Our prices are as competitive as ever and we don’t charge Tyrrells members for our club fittings. With numerous demo clubs from PING, Callaway, Titleist, Cleveland and Lynx there is plenty of choice now available. Please pop into the shop if you’d like some more information, we’d love to help!
