Calling all slicers!
Thank you for the response from my email last week, it seems a slice is a familiar shot for a lot of you! I mentioned last week the reason you slice is really simple, your club face is pointing too far to the right at the point of impact. Please notice that when I said this I didn’t use the word ‘open.’ This is because there are three different ways a club can be pointing to the right at impact, each one will encourage a slice but imagine if you had all three! Thankfully using our Swing Studio and GCQuad we’re able to measure all three of these factors. So it’s about time you came in to see us and straighten out that shot! Now, its experiment time again at Tyrrells and I’d like a couple of volunteers. The only remit is you must be a slicer off the tee. I’ll need just one hour of your time and as always will share my findings with you all. In the meantime if you’re a slicer please don’t - aim further left, try to keep your left arm straight or slow your swing down, to name just a few golf swing clichés. Click here if you’d like to take part.
