Hello Golfers,

So how’s your January been so far?

We really can’t complain about the weather, it’s still pretty decent so far and the course is holding up extremely well especially considering how busy it’s been recently. For those of you on a dry January, I hope you fared better than me. I did make it all the way to the last weekend, when I was led astray… I’m just going to call it a ‘dry-er’ January instead.

The highs and lows...

I was delighted to hear that England’s Charley Hull had won her second ladies European Tour title in Abu Dhabi last week, even more impressive was the fact she won wire-to wire.

On the flip side, I thought the interview Andy Murray gave last week was really sad. He has been one of the greatest British sportsmen of his era. Until he came onto the scene British tennis was a bit of a laughing stock, but he showed what was possible with fierce dedication and talent.
