Cameron Cup Update Another week, and another tough challenge and this week we faced the deadly duo of Jim Page and past-Captain, Stuart Jackson. The Captain and I managed to get off to another good start and were happy to be 2 up through the first four holes. Jim and Stuart had other ideas though as Stuart holed a 40 foot putt on the 5th green for a 3 nett 2 and a win and he quickly followed that with nett birdies on the 7th, 8th & 9th. By the time we got to halfway hut the match was back to all square. The Captain and I managed to win the 10th to get our noses in front again with the highlight of the round for me was my eagle on the 12th to put us two up, although I was made to work for it as Stuart holed another long putt for a nett 4 on the hole. We should’ve known what was going to happen next as Jim won the 14th and 16th holes to put the match back to all square and it was game on again. Thankfully the Captain made an excellent 4 nett 3 on the 17th to win the hole and I managed to halve the 18th to win the match 1up. It was an excellent game that could’ve gone either way in the end. I must say a big thank you to Jim and Stuart for their company and generosity.
