A belated Happy New Year to you all, I hope you all had a good time over the festive season. Christmas was a big success in the Humphrey house, Freddie was so excited (and a little relieved) that Father Christmas had left him some presents and I was extremely relieved that Christmas dinner was a success as I cooked it for the first time! I know, where do my talents end??

This was followed by a short trip to the in-laws in Cornwall which has beautiful - as seen in the photo here. And just when you think all the festivities are over, this past weekend we celebrated my mum's 80th birthday by getting the whole family together (all 28 of us!) for a weekend in the Cotswolds ……. and relax!!

The Junior Golf Passport lessons are starting again this January.

The Junior Golf Passport is the PGA backed Golf Foundation initiative that introduces children to golf. The Passport combines teaching of golf technique, fun games and life skills. Each child receives their own passport booklet which allows them to track their own progress and work through the Start, Learn and Play certification levels. The sessions are suitable for children aged 5-10 years. For more information on the Passport click here.

Sunday, 21st December 
Many congratulations to the team of Phil Olney, Dan Scoble, Michael Exworthy, Mike Tinsley, Alan Jagger and Chris Olney who won the Team Texas Scramble competition. If you haven't played in this event before it's well worth looking out for it this year, it's a 6 person teaxs scramble with over 150 golfers on the course with some teams taking it more seriously than others - as seen in the photo here!

Very well played to Richard Gibson who won the Club Drawn Stableford with an excellent 43 points. The ever improving Mike Tinsley finished in second place on 41 - it's good to see those lessons with Jo paying off Mike, although your Winter League partner might not been so happy with your two shot reduction!
