I hope you're well and looking forward to playing some golf next week, blimey, it feels nice to finally be able to say that. With the clocks set to spring forward this week and The Masters just around the corner, the golfing season will be well and truely underway.

I’m really excited to get started this season, I’ve missed golf so much and just can’t wait to open the front door of the Pro Shop again.

Now, because golf has continued around the world many manufactures have continued to release their latest products and the number of boxes arriving in the shop has increased during the week. The highlight for me this week has been the 2021 launch pack of the new Scotty Cameron putters including the Special Select and Futura models. Many of you will have heard of this brand and if you haven’t and you’re serious about using the very best technology then you really should consider these.

On the move

You probably think of your trolley as just a handy way to take the weight of a full golf bag off your shoulders as you walk the course (which it is), but nowadays your trolley can also take a huge weight off your mind as you play.

New Motocaddy GPS trolleys

Last year marked a significant upgrade in the world of GPS electric trolleys, and this year is set to follow suit.

To begin with, Motocaddy has added GPS technology to its highly popular M3 model for the first time! As the screen below shows, you will be able to view key yardages to the green at the quickest of glances.

If you want more then the M5 GPS gives you all of this but on a larger, higher-resolution touchscreen. In addition, you'll be presented with a dynamic green view that allows you to drag & drop the pin to match what you're faced with on the course.

1-iron or hybrid?

No matter how good you are, it’s easy to feel intimidated when placing an old-school 1-iron or 2-iron behind the ball. With the compact, ultra-thin head, you’d be forgiven for having a crisis of confidence at address… But that can be an issue.
