Two majors in two weeks - we really have been spoilt! Can we do it all over again? The golf from Augusta National was fantastic and has made us want to get out on the course at every opportunity. Don't forget, the pro shop is now back open so please drop by the next time you're at the club. We have a brilliant range of new products available for 2021!

Not quite the start we were looking forward to

It pretty much summed up the last year or so that after waiting months for Monday 12th April to finally arrive and the Pro Shop to re-open we get snow and a course closure. It felt like we had all four seasons in one morning, you just couldn't make it up.

Thankfully the weather has improved and I'd like to thank everyone who have come into the shop, whether it’s just to say hello or make a purchase, it's lovely to see you all again.

Skechers delivery

As you can see from the number of boxes the deliveries are still arriving thick and fast, this week part one of our men's and women's Skechers summer shoes have arrived.

If you haven’t heard of Skechers, firstly where have you been? Secondly, they’re a massive company from America who specialise in making some of the most comfortable golf shoes on the market.

If you’re still not sure make sure pop in and try a pair on, I promise you won’t be disappointed.

A new winner at Augusta

The Masters has a long, rich tradition of making history, and that was only furthered by Hideki Matsuyama becoming the first Japanese golfer to win a Major, finishing Sunday draped in a Green Jacket. A momentous achievement for the golfer and his home nation.

The list of big names to miss the +3 cut, including reigning champ Dustin Johnson and Grand Slam-chasing Rory McIlroy, tells you just how brutal Augusta National played over the first few days. Matsuyama found that brutality at the worst time, watching his lead cut from six with seven to play to a one-shot, nervy victory down the stretch. But he made it, and now his name is etched into the history books.

Beyond the blade

It’s pretty hard to miss the difference between modern-day mallets and traditional blades, but there are aspects of both putter styles that are much less obvious but still really set them apart from models of the past.

New & Improved - Srixon Z-Star golf balls

Video of the Week

We came across this Callaway video last week and loved it so wanted to share it with you. Mickelson has won the Masters three times and played in the tournament 29 times, so it's safe to say Lefty knows his way around Augusta National. In this short video, he discusses the key changes he made to his bag in order to play his best last week - it really is eye-opening!
