Are you kidding me?
I'm sure you'll agree with me that over the past few years our golf course has been in its best condition for many years. Paul and his team must take the credit for their hard work. However, something I overheard the other day from a member who was playing with a fellow member really disappointed me.
After holing out on the putting green, the member (who, for now will remain nameless) used the back of his putter to scoop the ball out of the hole…. Just ridiculous!
The course can be prepared and presented to a fantastic standard but we must look after it as well! We are coming into the busiest time of the golfing season and so I don't think it's asking too much to ask ALL GOLFERS to make sure you:
Repair your pitchmark on the green plus one other
Rake all bunkers correctly
Keep up with the game in front of you
Don't scoop your ball out of the hole with your putter
If you struggle with #4 then we stock a neat little device that screws into the top of your putter which when opens up allows you to pick the ball out of the hole without having to bend down, it's a tenner! Nag over, thank you!
