FREE Ladies Coaching for beginners
This September, my assistant Jo will be starting a weekly ladies group lesson aimed at new lady golfers. If you know of any ladies who you think would be interested in trying golf, please pass on this newsletter.
The sessions will run at a cost of £10 per session which includes a coffee. We're keen for this group to be very social and fun and are hoping to be able to run two weekly sessions on a Monday and Saturday morning. The group will run weekly and you sign up each week, very much like how you would sign up to a class at the gym, there is no commitment to a 6 or 10 week block of lessons.
Firstly, to start things off, we would like to invite all new golfers to a FREE taster session. These are taking place on Monday, 14 September at 11am and Saturday, 19 September at 11am. The weekly group class will then start a couple of weeks later.

Calling ALL Juniors
Jo will also be starting another block of Junior Golf Passport lessons in September. If any of you have children or grandchildren that may like to give golf a go this is the perfect opportunity for them to try it out. The dates of the sessions are as follows:
Sun 13 Sep - Sun 18 Oct
Each Sunday between 3.00pm and 4.00pm
The Junior Golf Passport sessions are aimed at juniors aged 5-9 and follow a fun games based structure. For more information about the Junior Golf Passport please follow this link.
The sessions are priced at £50 per child for the six weeks. If you have any questions or would like to book your child a place please contact the pro shop here.

The Dale Challenge - Brian Wright & Mary Wright vs Sue Yelland & Colin Stern in the semi-final. The winners will play Marianne Gibson & Richard Gibson in the final.
The Adams Trophy - Derek Hemment & Deryn Hemment vs Charlie Kearl & Charmaine Kearl in the semi-final. The winners will play Carole McJarrow & Scott McJarrow in the final.
The Kingsbury Cup - Frank Lee & Terry Lee vs Marianne Gibson & Richard Gibson in the semi-final. The winners will play Derek Hemment & Deryn Hemment in the final.
The Scratch Bowl - The semi-finals will be contested between Neil Parker vs David Orpin and Michael Lawton vs Chris Olney.
The Scottorn Cup - The semi-final line-up sees Neil Parker vs Gary Dunford and Allan Chisholm vs Philip Olney.
The RJS Pairs - Steve Thompson & Doug Tidmarsh vs Andy Bowes & Bob Stringer is the first semi-final match. Frank Lee & Terry Lee vs Paul Earl & John Evans is the second.
The Blades Cup - The final will be between Steve Marrion vs Brian Jackson.
The Allam Cup - Andy Shiells vs. Paul Williams will decide the second finalist, who will play Chris Tate in the final.
The Brown Cup - The semi-final line-up is Brian Connaughton vs Chris Miller and Mike Tinsley vs Steve Grimshaw.
The Tyrrells Wood Foursomes - Semi-final one is Steve Hunt & Chris Rafter vs Mark Hanlon & Dave Bragg; followed by Chris Luke & Mario Viscione vs Mark Barron & Mike Scott.
The Frank Moore Cup - Sean Griscti vs Timothy Bolton is the first semi-final, with Steve Grimshaw vs Chris Miller or Ken Drew in the second.
The Nicholls Cup - Denis Cleary vs David Weller and Tony Allen vs Jim Page.
The Stevenson Cup - The semi-final line-up is Allan Chisholm & Mario Viscione vs Rik Andrew & Jamil Chugtai. The winners will play John Bone & Ian Davidson in the final.
The Cameron Cup - Rob Cullen & Ken Drew vs Paul Earl & Neil Manwaring in semi-final number one. Sean Griscti & Gary Ward vs Ian Gale & John Luff in semi-final 2.

Sat 22 Aug - We hosted our annual Tyrrells Wood Trophy on Saturday. This is where we invite the men's and ladies captains & vice-captains from local Golf Clubs to play in a team competition. Congratulations to West Surrey who won with a total of 77 points. Please click here for the full results.
